Twelve council-owned storefronts on Milsom Street were prepped for the displays by other local businesses. Local artists were commissioned using £12,000 available from events canceled earlier in the pandemic. The displays attracted attention to a previously busy street and sought new investments extending beyond COVID-19. Bath & North East Somerset Council will conduct similar programs over the next two years to fill 80 vacant storefronts.
