Bath & North East Somerset Council, GB confronts inequality through Community Contribution Fund

Bath & North East Somerset Council, GB Community Fund

In Progress

The council offers a simple online form for contributions and included information about the program with 2021 tax bills. Residents and businesses contribute as little as £5 to a dedicated fund for organizations fighting racial and economic inequality. Eligible organizations will apply for funds through the council program in late 2021. Council officials plan resident engagement in 2022 to determine if the pilot should be extended.

Donate to the Community Contribution Fund | Bath and North East Somerset Council

The B&NES Community Contribution Fund is a pilot scheme that offers residents the chance to pay into a good causes fund to help local charity, community and voluntary groups to reduce inequalities in the area. The scheme is administered by us, but is not used to supplement council services. Every penny contributed goes to fund local projects. Any contribution is separate from your Council Tax, and you can contribute more than once. The minimum contribution is £5, and there is no maximum.
