Brighton & Hove City Council, GB Greening Council Homes

In Progress

The city outfitted 400 council homes with rooftop solar installations in 2020. An additional 1,000 homes will receive panels by the end of 2021. Brighton officials have approved a Circular Economy Routemap for building 800 new homes using low-emission, low-waste methods. Council home residents previously benefitted from free energy audits and minor upgrades through the SHINE project. The city's home energy efforts are designed to push Brighton toward carbon neutrality in 2030.
