Open New Doors featured video lessons on practical skills like cooking and sewing. Council personnel designed the courses to connect with services provided by its Coordination Hub during COVID-19. The cooking lessons were tied to regular meal deliveries by the council. Sewing courses helped participants make masks and scrub containers for healthcare workers. Cambridgeshire County mailed comparable recipes and sewing cards to residents without computers.
