Cincinnati, OH Largest Municipal Solar Farm Emissions Curb

In Progress

The city is working with Hectate Energy to add 310,000 solar panels to a 1,000-acre former farm. This 100-megawatt array eliminates 158,000 tons of emissions over a 20-year period. City buildings will receive 35 MW of zero-emission energy once the farm is operational. The Cincinnati Electric Aggregator Program will allocate 65 MW from the farm to residential subscribers. A workforce development program deploys local labor for panel installation and maintenance.
