Cochrane, AB residential recycling contamination auditing

In Progress

The Town of Cochrane is conducting an audit of residential recycling bins in order to assess contamination levels. The town contracted third-party auditors to examine 10,000 residential blue carts and determine if they contain any non-recyclable materials. In conjunction with the audit, the town is increasing the penalty for contaminated recycling loads and educating residents on common contamination issues.
