Colac Otway, VIC partners with local companies on Renewable Organics Network green power project

Colac Otway, VIC Renewable Organics Network Green Power

In Progress

The Colac Water Reclamation Plant will convert waste from Australian Lamb Company (ALC) and Bulla Dairy Foods into electricity. This waste-to-energy project produces 5.5 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year. Half of the electricity powers the plant with the remaining electricity sold back to the national grid. ALC will receive heated water used in the waste conversion process for its operations. The Renewable Organics Network contributes to an estimated emission savings of 6,300 tons.
