Corona, CA simplifies building code compliance with Virtual Interactive Inspection Program

Corona, CA Virtual Interactive Building Inspection Program

The Planning and Development Department adopted the Camino platform for virtual inspections. Contractors schedule appointments with at least one day's notice for 20 inspection types including bathroom remodels and underground electrical work. A smartphone or tablet allows the building inspector to confirm the project's location and review completed work. The program makes better use of inspectors' time and ensures timely inspections.
