Eau Claire County is partnering with SpaceX's satellite service, Starlink, to launch a one-year rural broadband pilot. The $85,000 pilot program will provide free Starlink equipment and internet access to 50 rural households. Participants will self-install the equipment an automatically receive an internet connection via the Starlink satellite orbiting above the planet.
