Glenelg, VIC develops its own sensor network for the remote monitoring of cultural artifacts

Glenelg, VIC Cultural Artifact Sensor Network Remote Monitor

Complete

The shire holds some of the first artifacts of European settlement in Australia in facilities with varying climates. Members of the Digital Glenelg Team created a low-cost IoT network by installing sensors in cultural centers. Each sensor measures humidity, light, and temperature levels that may impact cultural conservation. Local officials track climate trends from a central dashboard with alerts sent to relevant staff when climate adjustments are necessary.
