Greater Geelong, VIC meets tourism and conservation goals with Sculptural Wave Attenuator project

Greater Geelong, VIC Sculptural Wave Attenuator Project

In Progress

The council is working with Reef Design Labs to install modular reef clusters at Clifton Springs after the loss of natural reefs. The Sculptural Wave Attenuator reduces the erosion of coastal land by managing wave energy. Each six-module cluster provides a habitat for coastal life along with an interactive educational tool for tourists. The initial cluster at The Dell complements a new boardwalk funded by Victoria's Pick My Project participatory budgeting process.
