Kelowna, BC Public Restroom Pop-Up Pilot

The 20-foot structure contains two full-sized restrooms with lighting and water access. City officials are working with PEOPLE Employment Services to staff the pop-up restrooms with formerly homeless attendants. The initial pilot takes place in the busy Queensway neighborhood to determine long-term viability.

Pop-up Washroom Pilot | City of Kelowna

Pop-up toilet pilot on Queensway Avenue will include a 20-foot container that will include two washrooms is anticipated to be open by the end of April. The pilot is intended to provide increased access to inviting, clean washrooms for all visitors to the Queensway area and is proposed to be operated by attendants employed by the social enterprise called PEOPLE Employment
