Kitchener, ON shows its commitment to small business growth with Project 220 popup pilot

Kitchener, ON Project 220 Small Business Popup Pilot

Complete

Kitchener offered a retail storefront near city hall to small businesses interested in testing new ideas. The one-year pilot provided space for popups lasting from one day to multiple months. Early participants in the project included an art gallery, an indigenous art studio, and an ice cream shop. Project 220 was designed to reacquaint entrepreneurs with Kitchener's downtown area without the risks of investing in prime retail space.
