Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, GB addresses link between mental health and financial crises
Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, GB Link Health Crises
Project operator Prescot and Whiston Community Advice Centre accepts referrals from mental health caseworkers. Referred clients receive personalized guidance about debt, housing, and welfare benefits with long-term security in mind. This program decouples mental wellness from financial stability, thus allowing residents to make progress toward improvements in both areas. Borough officials funded the project through its Better Together Hardship Fund.
