The city used a Central Business District storefront to facilitate a two-month pilot with the CCI and its partners. Local entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders detailed their startup concepts on a dedicated ideas wall. CCI advisors connected visitors to public and private organizations that could turn ideas into reality. The pilot sought to lower barriers to local businesses filling service gaps in the current market.

Project Succeeded

Fourteen visitors to the CCI provided their ideas during 18 days of consultations. An organization providing English lessons to new migrants went from concept to delivery. The city was recognized by the 2020 Local Government Excellence Awards for the pilot.
