Richmond's partnership with Alcove delivers tablets to residents receiving council care or support. The Carephone allows for telehealth check-ins with general practitioners, nurses, and specialists. Vulnerable residents also stay in touch with family members, friends, and neighbors via video chats. Borough officials pursued this telehealth option to decrease COVID-19 transmission, improve health outcomes, and increase points of contact for housebound residents.
