Patrons of Melbourne restaurants and cafes are eligible for city-issued rebates on their bills. Purchases ranging from $50 AUD to $500 AUD qualify for 20% rebates after receipts are uploaded. Melbourne approved a $8.4 million AUD budget for this program with rebates offered until funds are gone. This short-term program encourages restaurant goers to use their rebates on future purchases that support the local economy.
