Residents with current utility accounts qualify for rebates on smart thermometer and high-efficiency dishwasher purchases. The program offers one rebate per account equal to 50 CAD for thermometers or 100 CAD for dishwashers. Rebates only apply to qualifying products purchased during the 2022 calendar year and installed at residences within city limits. Red Deer officials estimate appliance upgrades can reduce energy usage by 12% and water usage by 30%.
