Redland, QLD advances hydrogen economy goals with renewable wastewater treatment project

Redland, QLD Renewable Hydrogen Wastewater Treatment Project

Ideation

Redland issued an Expression of Interest for potential partners in a hydrogen generation system at the Mount Cotton Wastewater Treatment Plant. City leaders hope to build on wastewater-to-hydrogen research conducted with the Queensland University of Technology. Hydrogen produced at the plant would power treatment operations without creating emissions. The pilot will provide a template for sustainable energy generation in remote areas of the Redlands Coast.
