Local residents, businesses, and charities post projects on the Crowdfund Salford platform that improve the community. Projects that meet Great Eight priorities including economy for all and achieving equality are eligible for city matching grants. Eligible campaigns raise 25% of their targets, receive grants covering 50% of costs up to £10,000, and then raise the final 25%. The platform has funded projects like a helpline for women and a creative arts hub.
