San Miguel de Tucumán, TM Neighborhood Alarms Emergency
Households in select neighborhoods received panic buttons that activate outdoor alarms installed at intersections. The alarm indicates which house is impacted by a potential threat, allowing nearby residents to secure their homes and contact the police. City officials issued 4,000 remote-controlled buttons to households by June 2021. The Neighborhood Alarms initiative combined with lighting, transit, and road improvements to raise living conditions throughout the city.
