Stirling, WA preserves tree canopy on residential properties with Tree-Friendly Development Program

Stirling, WA Tree-Friendly Residential Development Program

Complete

Stirling created this free program to increase integration of existing trees into residential construction. Participants began with a two-hour course on the benefits of tree preservation and case studies from other Australian councils. A five-hour seminar explored design ideas, site analysis techniques, and other tools for maintaining tree canopy. The Tree-Friendly Development Program also offered personalized assistance by a panel of arborists, architects, and planners.
