The council offers food waste bins and weekly collections to interested local businesses. The collected waste is processed into compost to reduce landfill waste and better reuse materials. Select businesses participated in a 2020 pilot that demonstrated the feasibility of a broader rollout. Subiaco's five-year waste plan anticipates an expansion of this program to residential areas by 2025.
