The city of Tempe is preparing for extreme heat disasters by creating the "EnVision Center" which includes a resilience hub. The EnVision Center will provide community-based solutions including flexible office space, education classes, healthcare appointments, housing services, and workforce development. The resilience hub portion of the building will have a massive walk-in freezer, ice for residents on hot days, and a cooling center where people can come on those extreme heat days.
