Tilburg, NB GreenPee Sustainable Urinal Experiment

City officials sought a solution for frequent complaints of public urination in the Besterd. The GreenPee urinal was installed on Leonard van Vechelstraat for a one-year pilot. Passersby who may otherwise urinate on sidewalks are directed by signs to the station. Collected urine combines with hemp fibers to produce fertilizer within the urinal. Tilburg will evaluate the impacts of GreenPee's technology on cleanliness before deciding on its continued use.

Greenpee urinoir in de Besterd - Gemeente Tilburg

Naast het voormalige Rode Kruisgebouw aan de Leonard van Vechelstraat in de Besterd staat sinds kort een zogenaamd Greenpee urinoir. Dit is een ‘circulair urinoir’ in de vorm van een plantenbak.
