Zwolle, OV Community Life Housing Asylum Seekers Pilot

City officials are working with local foundation Voor Elkaar Zwolle to place young asylum seekers into nine shared homes. The foundation will arrange placements for minimal religious and cultural conflicts between residents. Each property will house up to four residents with services and supervision provided through their placements in permanent housing. Zwolle will operate three shared homes in each of its districts during the two-year pilot.

Zwolle start woonpilot voor jonge statushouders vanwege oververhitte woningmarkt | Gemeente Zwolle

ThuisNet als andere gemeenten in Nederland moet Zwolle ieder jaar een aantal statushouders een woning bieden. In de eerste helft van 2020 was dit aantal nog 40 en in de eerste helft 2021 gaat het om 99 personen. Het aantal is dus flink toegenomen. Veel jonge statushouders wachten op een geschikte woonplek vanuit het AZC. Zij kunnen pas echt goed beginnen met hun integratie in de samenleving als zij zich definitief in een gemeente hebben gevestigd. Tegelijkertijd is de druk op de woningmarkt onverminderd hoog.
