VR developer Mother Mountain Productions contracted with the authority for Unbroken's development. Unbroken is divided into two tracks - Insight and Flourish - for council officials and non-profit services, respectively. Insight's immersive experiences of coercive control based on interviews with 15 survivors improve staff awareness. Flourish provides tools like life coaching and meditations for different stages of organizational assistance.

Suffolk County Council, GB develops virtual reality application for residents with dementia

Suffolk County Council approved a contract with Spark for a VR application dedicated to dementia care. The Digital Care Team will turn ideas from care providers and the community into engaging virtual activities. A prototype of the app will be tested in at-home and care home settings with feedback used for further development. This project uses £80,000 from the Suffolk 2020 Fund and complements existing dementia care tools like AV theme rooms.

Project leaders plan virtual events and access to digital services for expanded Virtual City functionality.

Cornwall Council, GB brings Newquay Futures development project to life with a VR experience

The city of Lakeland signed a 10-year contract with Axon Enterprises Inc. to acquire body camera solutions and other technological equipment for the Lakeland Police Department (LPD). The city negotiated a flat rate of $938,000 per year in exchange for 250 body cameras, 250 new tasers, 165 new in-car video systems, and 10 virtual reality training sets. The LPD will also be trained in a new software that allows them to accept videos from private home alarm system and upload them as evidence.
