Mölndal, SE designs best practices for waste management at multi-family properties based on pilot
Mölndal and Bintel first installed smart bin technology in the recycling rooms of three Mölndalsbostäder-operated buildings. The Bintel system gathers data on fill levels, potential cross-contamination, and frequency of use for three bin types. The success of this first trial led to an expanded pilot at 20 multi-family buildings for a two-year period. Project leaders are creating a best practices guide for waste reduction and proper sorting using pilot data.
