Frankfurt am Main, HE informs residents of current conditions with [ui!] UrbanPulse platform

The Urbane Datenplattform provides current data on smart charging use, air quality, and traffic volume. There is a real-time air quality and temperature timeline at the bottom of the platform with data from the previous hour. Platform users can toggle from visualizations to a map view of charging stations and weather stations throughout Frankfurt. A pulse tile at the top of the page produces a BPM rating based on the weighted average of platform data.

Lake Country, BC CityViz dashboard explains trends found in the 2021 Census of Population

The portal's Overview section displays quick facts on population changes, major industries, and household incomes. An Economic Indicators dashboard visualizes multi-year trends in unemployment rates and employment insurance beneficiaries. Community Profile pages for population, labor force, and housing provide glimpses into life in Lake Country. CityViz users can subscribe for notifications when the district adds or updates data.

Kiama, NSW visualizes Town Centre Development Plan proposals with 3D modeling

Planning officials developed a 3D model of height changes during its Town Centre Development Control Plan review. The council proposes raising the 11-meter height limit on Town Centre buildings for three development areas. The interactive model presents areas with potential height increases as transparent boxes and other buildings as white boxes. Kiama requires 3D model submissions for all future Development Applications in the Town Centre, thus visualizing changes for the public.

With better modeling, the team hoped that CBU could be more strategic about investment in pipe replacement and equipment. Inspired by the incorporation of data visualization in this most recent water main break study, CBU has started to streamline reporting procedures and leak notifications for most water issues using open-source G-suite tools.

Users can navigate the data catalog through keyword searches, topic filters, and short video guides. After creating a free account, users can also export or transform data into different visualizations such as bar graphs and maps.
