Leicester City Council, GB promotes sustainable transit options with incentives program

The program asks 11,000 residents in three neighborhoods to pursue eco-friendly commutes. Participants receive guides on navigating Leicester by foot, bike, rideshare, and public transit. Travel advisors from SYSTRA provide free personalized advice on sustainable commutes for each user's needs. Leicester offers bonus Betterpoints rewards and free memberships to Santandar Cycles Leicester for early sign-ups. Every participant is entered in a drawing for £250 in shopping vouchers.

Seattle, WA implements the Seamless Seattle citywide wayfinding system to improve walkability

The Seattle Department of Transportation is partnering with design consultant Applied Information Group to create a citywide wayfinding system based on the Legible London model. This "Seamless Seattle" system is designed to make the city more legible, accessible, and walkable for residents, commuters, and visitors. The system's design includes the integration of heads-up mapping, illustrations, braille panels, non-English languages, recognizable product design, color blindness optimization, etc.
