Akron, OH Parks Challenge Neighborhoods Improving Spaces

In Progress

This annual challenge seeks applications by neighborhood groups to improve Akron's 161 parks. Each application proposes upgrades ranging from community gardens to health and wellness activities. The Akron Parks Challenge encourages teams to develop friends groups, conduct surveys, and incorporate input from neighbors. A panel of judges from project partners like Akron Parks Collaborative selects recipients of up to $100,000 based on sustainability, equity, and feasibility.
