Angus Council, GB Mercury Drone Port NHS Pilot Service

Mercury Drone Port is a joint venture of Angus Council and DTLX based in the Montrose ZeroFour Hub. Drone flights will carry medicine, equipment, and lab samples from the port to facilities in Angus and Dundee. This beyond-line-of-sight pilot allows council officials to determine how on-demand drone flights can better serve local industries. NHS teams in the region improve patient outcomes thanks to faster test results and supply deliveries.

Scotland’s first drone port, Mercury Drone Ports, will begin working with the NHS for their first beyond visual line of sight drone trials next month. Establishing Angus as a centre of excellence for the development of drone technologies in Scotland, Mercury Drone Ports will provide a trials airspace area to support drone companies and end users conduct onshore and offshore drone flight trials.
