Aurora, CO Mental Health Crises Mobile Response Team
In Progress
The team is comprised of a clinician from Aurora Mental Health Center and a Falck Rocky Mountain paramedic. Residents in the city's northwest neighborhoods request the team for non-emergency situations Wednesday through Saturday. Unarmed team members respond to immediate needs like first aid, food, and water before conducting mental health evaluations. The six-month pilot will evaluate costs and client outcomes ahead of a potential expansion to other neighborhoods.
