Shire officials received a state grant to install a 24-hour sensor network for improved resiliency. Seven Attentis sensors were installed throughout Baw Baw and feed data into a public dashboard. The Information Network dashboard presents current wind strength and direction at key locations. Sensors also gather real-time measurements of particulate matter, humidity, and temperature. Baw Baw uses thermal imaging and video footage for rapid responses to emergency situations.

The Eat and Explore website highlights parks, picnic areas, and seating areas near local eateries. Baw Baw supplied participating restaurants with posters and cardboard takeout boxes that directly connect to local listings through QR codes. Website users can click on restaurant listings for photos, descriptions, and hours of operation. This initiative is part of a business support program including expedited outdoor dining approvals and a Buy Local ad campaign.
