Baw Baw, VIC Information Network Monitor Weather Risk
Shire officials received a state grant to install a 24-hour sensor network for improved resiliency. Seven Attentis sensors were installed throughout Baw Baw and feed data into a public dashboard. The Information Network dashboard presents current wind strength and direction at key locations. Sensors also gather real-time measurements of particulate matter, humidity, and temperature. Baw Baw uses thermal imaging and video footage for rapid responses to emergency situations.
