Bilbao, PV collaborates with Heineken on last-mile deliveries using all-electric vehicles
The pilot deploys Scoobic delivery vehicles for Heineken deliveries in the Casco Viejo neighborhood. Delivery trucks drop shipments at Ribera Market for last-mile delivery to 200 participating hotels. There is a charging hub at the market to keep the two-vehicle fleet powered for daily deliveries. Local officials anticipate an annual carbon emission reduction of 1,650 kilograms along with reduced traffic congestion in the historic neighborhood.

Bilbao, PV adds automatic speech-based waiting times to mobile app for public transportation
The Bilbao City Council is incorporating an automatic speech-based system for announcing Bilbobus waiting times to improve public transportation accessibility for passengers with reading or visibility impairments. The new function of the Bilbobus mobile app will identify which stop the user is currently at using Bluetooth and read aloud the waiting times of any transportation lines that pass by that location in Basque and Spanish.

The Bilbao City Council launched the "General Electronic Registry of Powers of Attorney" to facilitate municipal procedures and services involving third parties. The registry allows residents to authorize another person or legal entity to carry out Public Administration procedures on their behalf. The registry prevents residents from being required to repeatedly submit the same documentation proving the representation each time they carry out an administrative procedure.
