Better Lives at Home complements services from social care staffers with technology for independent living. The council's initial TEC investment acquired furniture occupancy sensors, motion-activated voice assistants, and Magiplug devices for adult care recipients. The second round of TEC funding expanded device options and supported training for carers. Bristol and neighboring councils are also planning pilots of TEC solutions like acoustic monitors and remote diagnostic devices.
