Zerocarbon.vote featured a simple interface with feedback submitted in as little as five minutes. Council leaders will factor resident preferences into discussions of how home energy improvements advance Bury toward its goal of carbon-neutrality in 2038.

Bury will rotate EarthSense Zephyr sensors between local schools starting from the 2021-2022 school year. The Zephyr is a solar-powered mobile device affixed to street lights and other fixtures. This sensor captures data on nine pollutants including hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide. The three-year project will analyze long-term trends in air quality changes outside a majority of Bury's 65 schools.
