City officials reviewed financial analyses, neighboring council policies, and community feedback about its public litter bins. A City Clean team was created to empty up to 300 bins per day compared to 55 in the past. The team's compactor truck was named the Bin Chicken after a public naming contest. OptiRoute software was adopted for streamlined routes by council personnel and vehicles. The Public Litter Bins Project also removed or reallocated 140 bins based on usage data.
