Bradford Council partnered with the University of Bradford to create an open-source Level of Detail 3 (LOD3) twin. Drones, bike-mounted scanners, and smart cameras started by mapping historical buildings in the Little Germany Conservation Area. Virtual Bradford will expand outward to cover 100 kilometers of local roads, shops, and public buildings. Local officials anticipate far-reaching uses of the digital twin ranging from building preservation to virtual stores.
