City of London Corporation, GB converts waste collection fleet to all-electric vehicles

City of London Corporation, GB All-Electric Refuse Fleet

Complete

Five plug-in electric trucks operated by Veolia collect waste and recycling in London's core. The vehicles eliminate 400 tons of carbon emissions per year produced by diesel-powered trucks. The City of London Corporation is the first local government in the United Kingdom to go fully electric with waste collection. This initiative follows the city's decision to ban new diesel vehicles from its fleet ahead of a national ban starting in 2030.
