Cornwall Council, GB monitors the impacts of tailpipe emissions on indoor air quality in Tideford

The village was selected due to above-average air pollutant levels during COVID-19 lockdowns that depressed vehicle traffic. Twelves homes along the A38 received indoor air purifiers for the two-year pilot. Cornwall Council will compare air quality levels between the pilot group and other homes along the busy road. Council officials are communicating pilot results to National Highways with the goal of shaping future road work toward healthier outcomes.
