Cornwall Council, GB converts disused industrial site into sustainable transitional housing

Cornwall Council, GB Sustainable Transitional Housing

In Progress

Modular home firm Zed Pods designed 10 permanent units for the Cowlins Mill site in Pool. Each home includes modern amenities with aesthetic nods to the village's mining history. Solar panels power water heating and climate control capabilities with minimal costs or emissions. A dedicated path from the community to the village encourages active travel among residents. Cornwall Council will use this development to serve people moving from homelessness to permanent housing.
