Cuyahoga County, OH Opioid Innovation Fund proposal

Ideation

Cuyahoga County is considering a proposal to form a $10 million Opioid Innovation Fund to support and test new strategies for combatting the opioid epidemic. The money, from the county’s $117.5 million in opioid settlement funds, would be invested in promising technology and systems for preventing or treating opioid addiction. The programs could be developed and administered by public health systems and only 5-10% of the funds would be used on operational costs.
