Darwin installed 138 CCTV cameras that provide real-time intelligence to public safety personnel. The Central Business District contains five Wi-Fi precincts with localized connectivity for businesses, tourists, and commuters. City officials monitor trends in rainfall, temperature, humidity, and other environmental metrics using microclimate sensors. Datasets from Switching on Darwin are available through the Open Data Hub.
