The city's nordwärts - or Northward - team and TU Dortmund University researchers surveyed district residents about hot-weather conditions. Thirty climate sensors attached to streetlights measure heat and humidity. Climate data are sent to a dedicated platform for real-time analysis of hotspots in the district. The iResilience project will develop an app for residents that recommends the most comfortable commuting routes based on this data.
