Dubbo Regional, NSW conducts council-wide conversion of streetlights to LED fixtures

Dubbo Regional, NSW Council LED Streetlight Conversion

The council is working with Essential Energy to swap 6,283 standard fixtures for energy-efficient LED lights. The LED streetlight project reduces energy usage by 1,784 megawatt-hours per year. Local officials expect full repayment of the project's costs within four years based on annual energy savings of $570,000 AUD. Essential Energy maintains an interactive map with street-by-street updates on project progress.
