Council officials issued a Call for Expressions of Interest for the building replacement project at Lions Park. The existing amenities facility will be replaced by a 3D-printed building made from high-strength concrete. Project partners Blue Tribe and Solar Professionals installed an 8kW system at the Whylandra Waste and Recycling Centre. The first-in-state installation consists of used but functional solar panels that would otherwise head to the landfill. The state-funded pilot will also provide the blueprint for similar projects in other councils.
