Residents in Falkirk and surrounding towns download the BetterPoints app to participate. Every walk, jog, bike ride, or public transit ride generates points during the five-month campaign. The app also awards points for visits to town centers. User points are converted into shopping vouchers accepted by 100 local businesses. Take the Right Route increases participation with gift card giveaways based on referrals, holiday travels, and survey responses.
