Greater London Authority, GB addresses connectivity gaps with Digital Inclusion Service pilot
Greater London Authority, GB Digital Inclusion Service
In Progress
The one-year pilot pursues multiple paths to helping 270,000 residents without Internet access. A Device Bank operated by Good Things Foundation connects the digitally excluded with upcycled laptops and mobile devices from area businesses. City officials will run a Data Bank of subsidized mobility plans and connections to low-cost offers by service providers. The Digital Inclusion Service also refers residents to more than 100 existing digital training and service programs.
